Biography: Reed Morgan Milewicz

Mr. Milewicz attended Birmingham-Southern College (BSC) to study Computer Science. In that time, he was selected to participate in the Birmingham Area Consortium of Higher Education (BACHE) Scholars program, an undergraduate research initiative. His research focused on the field of computational aesthetics, attempting to provide algorithmic insights into the human experience; he presented the results of his research at an undergraduate symposium at Argonne National Laboratory.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a double minor in Mathematics and Classics, he joined the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received his Master’s degree and continues on as a PhD student and graduate assistant in the iProgress lab. His current research interests include programming language theory and  non-blocking algorithms.
